Now that we are all self-isolating, let's take David Hockney's example and work in our gardens, rather than from photos? Our even from within our homes?
I suggest start with the drawing process. As artists, we don't draw enough! Including myself. Yet drawing is the key to painting. Plus, it's very relaxing as there's no pressure on you to get it right, as it's often only preparatory work, or capturing something in a simple sketch rather than a very detailed photo.
Below are examples from my sketchbooks over the years. Note how simple and quickly they were done.
Also a beautiful drawing done this year, April 3rd, by Lindsey, of her mum at the piano.
